SUMMARY: HP-UX gcc

thanks to Baranyai & Joe their responses are here.. but i solved by installing
later version of gcc(i.e 3.0.2) from
http://dsportal.eservices.hp.com/dspp/tech/tech_TechSoftwareDetailPage_IDX/1,
1703,547,00.html

earlier one i used from
http://eigen.ee.ualberta.ca/hppd/hpux/Gnu/gcc-3.0.1/ is not functioning
properly.

I don't know
where you had got the gcc depot.
On
http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/Gnu/gcc-3.0.1 you can see that
gcc depot
depens on the binutils depot. Binutils contains the
gnu version of as (the
assembler).
Probably you should install this too.
