Thans a lot to all of responses from the most logical one from: "Harrington, David B (Contractor)" <dharrington@dscr.dla.mi" to check uniq UID or other method that I try which also came from: Nicolas Dorfsman <ndo@woup.net> Or the folks who tellme that could be NIS, but i forgot to tell I am not using NIS , but thanks anyway. The bullseye came from: "Connolly, Michael" <Michael.Connolly@itt.com> >This might be farfetched but see if the partition is full. I got the same >error a long time ago and, believe it or not, freeing up space (it was at >100% for some reason) solved the problem. The / fs was a 100% I try to tune it with tunefs , but no result later , the search of big files turn into a file name /dev/rmt/On yes its an O the dba appears to get it wrong and their backups were using all available fs.
