I originally posted a message up here stating that it was darn near impossible to get Solaris DHCP working with two network cards in the system. Since that time I have changed 2 factors. I first changed to Intel cards from the SMC cards. I can't say for sure if this was a fix, but I know that rather than getting a "No reply in Init" error I got a "No reply in select" error. So I realized that at least half of the DHCP transmission was getting through. This was using the Solaris 8 10/00 release. Then I upgraded (actually I ended up re-installing because the upgrade path was totally horrible) to Solaris 8 01/01 and DHCP seems to be working great right out of the system. I think there may be a little bug in the dhcpmgr though, when I tried to add an address range of 10.1.1.155 with 10 possible clients to the 10.1.1.0 network it said that those addresses were not in the network, but once again I just forced them in the table and it all worked out just fine.
