Thanks for the replay. Looks like everyone is using the mt rewoffl or the mt offline command. I tried that already and didn't work for me with EZ17 what happens is that it doesn't put the tape back in the lib. It just ejects the tape and leaves it on the drive. Thanks for the feed back. -----Original Message----- From: Evans, Tim [mailto:Tim_Evans@troweprice.com] Sent: Friday, April 27, 2001 8:15 AM To: 'aambrose@ennovatenetworks.com' Subject: RE: Autoloader > I have an Exabyte EZ17 Autoloader on Solaris 7 and looking to > see if anybody > out there were able to come up with a script or a package > that loads and > unloads tapes from the drive. I don't have any backup Most autoloaders will work in dumb, sequential mode. Use 'mt -f /dev/rmt/X offline' This will eject the current tape and load the next one. -- Tim Evans, T.Rowe Price Investment Technologies | tkevans@troweprice.com 10090 Red Run Blvd, Owings Mills, MD 21117 |(410) 345-8134 Pager: (410) 748-5222 | FAX: (410) 345-8611Received on Fri Apr 27 15:13:02 2001
