SUMMARY - Stripping out non-printable characters.

strings !!  This works.

What was I thinking?  Sometimes things are so easy that you miss the
obvious.

I've got a E450 running Solaris 7.. and a remnant of a database. Does 
anyone have a quick script for stripping out all non-printable
characters
out of it? I know I can use od -c to look at it and see that there are
things
in it worth saving.. But I need a quick method for stripping out the text 
in
a
Solaris environment.
