Original Question: -------------- When users change their NIS passwords, they are prompted for their login password and new password. After this information is entered, yppasswd displays the message "NIS passwd/attributes changed on <NIS Master> but the users do not get their shell prompts back (see dialogue below). If they do a Control C, the password does get updated in the password file. Anyone know what's happening here? Will summarize. The publickey entry on the NIS clients goes to nis first and then files. This apparently does not work well. When the entry for publickey was changed to "files" only, it worked. Is this a bug?
