Original Question: Does anyone know if you can boot different versions of Solaris on the one server? [plus a description of how I did it on a HP] Answer: General consensus is yes. Very easy with two different disks, just set auto-boot to false and choose which one you want. To make things simpler you can also set a devalias to make it easier, ie boot sol26, boot sol7. This can also be done using partitions with only a little more difficulty. Justin Stringfellow from Sun also had this to add: Actually I'd reccomend anyone with a critical machine would be well advised to have an alternate OS handy in case they need to run a restore from backup... Thanks all for the info. I got 10 responses within about 20mins. ===== Pinky: What will we do tonight Brain? Brain: Same thing we do every night Pinky..try to install Windows NT!
