Thanks to everyone who replied. Some really good troubleshooting skills in this group. After looking at the verbose boot messages, and comparing them to issues with aar drivers on Sunsolve, I put 2 and 2 together to figure out that it may be an ATM issue. Sure enough, there was an ATM card in the server (I am doing a remote upgrade), and the startup script is in /etc/rc2.d. It is numbered S00SUNWatm, so it runs immediately after the /etc/rc1.d/S01MOUNTFSYS. Renamed the startup script and it came up fine. Thanks again. ChrisReceived on Tue May 22 21:12:14 2001
