No, I dont think you can order this from Sun anymore, the folks I'm working for tried, but it was just pulled from the website in early May and is now officially unsupported -- according to their Sun rep. The problems I was having trying to boot the 5/98 CD were related to flaky ribbon cables. ---- forwarded message attached --- ________________________________________________ Get your own "800" number Voicemail, fax, email, and a lot more http://www.ureach.com/reg/tag --_uReach_com_180428938399124443618679xxx_ Content-type: message/rfc822 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Description: Forwarded message Return-Path: <dan@tangledhelix.com> Received: from snoopy.net (snoopy.net [198.88.21.2]) by ureach.com (8.9.1/8.8.5) with ESMTP id PAA25284 for <huntere@ureach.com>; Wed, 23 May 2001 15:19:01 -0400 Received: (from dan@localhost) by snoopy.net (8.9.3/8.9.3) id PAA00541 for huntere@ureach.com; Wed, 23 May 2001 15:18:27 -0400 X-Authentication-Warning: snoopy.net: dan set sender to dan@tangledhelix.com using -f Date: Wed, 23 May 2001 15:18:27 -0400 From: Dan Lowe <dan@tangledhelix.com> To: E Hunter <huntere@ureach.com> Subject: Re: 2.6 on Ultra 5 Message-ID: <20010523151827.D32440@tangledhelix.com> Reply-To: dan@tangledhelix.com References: <200105231407.KAA02712@www22.ureach.com> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.2.5i In-Reply-To: <200105231407.KAA02712@www22.ureach.com>; from huntere@ureach.com on Wed, May 23, 2001 at 10:07:22AM -0400 Previously, E Hunter said: > I found a solution to a problem I'm having installing Solaris > 2.6 on an Ultra 5 in the archives. If you don't have it on CD you're out of luck. You can just buy a copy of Solaris 8, or download one, from Sun's web site.
