SUMMARY: vmstat w column greater than number of procs?

Hello folks,

I did not receive anything back that could point
at the issue. Kevin
Buterbaugh and Don Harris both mentioned that
inactive processes
would be swapped out as they are no longer
running. I thought
ps showed all processes on the system regardless
of state.

If anyone has any further ideas I am all ears.

Hello folks,

I am trying to figure out why the w column to
vmstat shows 79 proc's swapped
out but ps -ef | wc -l totals 59? Either my box
has been hacked or the vmstat
utility has some issues. The box is Solaris 2.6,
kernel revision 23.
