Hi Gals and Girls, Thanks for all the responses ........ here is the feedback. 1) Checked the eeprom settings by typing eeprom and took note of diag-switch and boot-device 2) diag-switch was "true" and boot device was "disk net" 3) Changed diag-switch from "true" to false using #eeprom diag-switch?=false 4) Changed boot-device from "disk net" to disk using #eeprom boot-device=disk I will test this as soon as I have a chance to reboot the server. Thanks Mark -----Original Message----- From: Johnston Mark Sent: 22 August 2001 12:00 To: sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org Subject: Solaris Boot Hi all, I have recently inherited a E250 server and the other day it frooze up so I had to reboot. Apon rebooting I noticed that the server uses the net as its boot device. I did a "STOP A" and typed "boot disk" which worked fine and the server came back up. I know for sure that this server should not be booting from the net. My question is how do I change the setting permanently so that it boots from disk?
