SUMMARY FTP Problem

Hi all,

I have a very simple problem that I didn't want to bother you all with but I
can't find the information anywhere.

I can only FTP into a solaris 2.7 box with root. It refuses any other user.
I'm certain it's a file which needs amending. If you could even point me in
the right direction to the info I need, I'd be very grateful.

The /etc/shells file didn't exist. I created it, then added the user and
shell... I can now ftp using that user.
