Thank you for all your quick and helpful responses! You guys are fantastic! Those who responded: David Evans Frank Smith Elizabeth Lee Mark Cohen Kevin Stafford Justin Stringfellow and more as the help keeps coming..... :) It appears I had the right command, just the wrong argument and I didn't understand the output. /usr/platform/sun4u/sbin/prtdiag -v gives me the info I requested and thanks to Frank Smith who pointed out that the 'revision level' of the cpu is the 'mask' column of the cpu info from prtdiag. There could be other rev levels of modules, boards, etc., so verify with your rep what (s)he is really asking for. Thanks again to all who replied and to all a very happy holiday season and a happy new year! Chris ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Greetings All, I just got a call from my Sun sales rep asking me for the CPU revision levels on an E10K frame we have running here. The Sun admins are all on vacation and I am an HP-UX guy. :( I need the command for finding this information....I thought it was: /usr/platform/sun4u/sbin/prtdiag?? I ran this but it didn't give me any "revision" levels.... Not sure but we are running Solaris 8 and I could use some help, thanks and I will summarize!
