NOSUMMARY: Sharing SCSI-1 Disk between two hosts?

Hallo Managers.
First, thanks for your replies.
Unfortunatly our problem still exists. Two sun should share an old scsi disk.
This disk will not be used for booting.
What have i done:
1. I changed the scsi-initiator-id from one of the suns
2. I assigned a free scsi-id to the disk (free at both suns)
The layout is like that

host1 ---> host 2:

initiator id 5 --- internal disk id 0 --- internal disk id 1 --- internal cdrom
id 6 --- \
external disk 5 --- internal cdrom id 6 --- internal disk id 1 --- internal disk
id 0 -- \
initiator id 7

probe-scsi-all shows nothing or hangs also if one host is without power but
connected to the external disk.

Now my question is, should every scsi id unique on both hosts? Or do i have
no chance to share that disk with that hardware?

Wolfgang
