I was indeed correct: I had to power cycle. Incidentally the key was NOT in the lock position. Now I have to see if I can convince security to let me use the RSC port. And remeber children (myself included) always do a reset (after auto-boot=false) so the stupid thing doesn't hang. (as in the driving option) Brand new 280r running OS, I init 0 to prom so I can install my own OS, issue watch-net-all to find the required qfe port. server hangs..... I am connected through a terminal server and the server is 40 miles away. Any way of getting out of this? Other than driving 40 miles and flicking a keyswitch, then driving 40 miles back? I've tried a 'send break' from telnet but that doesn't seem to be working. Any help would be much appreciated. regards Mark Mark Dorman Technical Infrastructure Developer Halifax Plc -IT service Delivery Technical Support (UNIX and UNISYS (North)) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Halifax plc, Registered in England No. 2367076.
