Hi list, thanks a lot for all the help. Here's what people wrote me: 1. The overwhelming mayority told me to use the ANDIrand package available at http://www.cosy.sbg.ac.at/~andi/ It creates /dev/random and /dev/urandom and works as you would expect it to. Some also mentioned that Sun recognized the problem and that there will be a random device included in Solaris 9. 2. One helpful person suggested to use prngd - available here: http://www.aet.tu-cottbus.de/personen/jaenicke/postfix_tls/prngd.html 3. Someone told me to read the FAQ. 4. Two people pointed out that there is a nice workaround to get it working once - you can create a .rnd file in / and put some randomness in it, maybe the kernel? (or copy it, there is one in the build directories of SSL). It will be accepted. Thanks again for the help!
