Hello, I played around with the machines a little bit and I found the solution somewhat by accident. The solution: I got this setup to work only by using VNC. Vncserver on the headless Ultra 5 and vncviewer on the Linux client. Many thanks for all those who tried to helped. ltiu On Tuesday 05 February 2002 17:45, ltiu wrote: > Hello, > > Need some help here. > > Ultra 5 with a SunPCi card. > SunPCi card has AMD 300Mhz 192MB RAM > > The Ultra 5 is serving as a headless server. > > The client is a Linux box running Xfree86 ver. 4.1 > > Exporting all X-windows GUI from the Ultra 5 through the network to the > Linux box (using "xhost" and "export DISPLAY" commands). > > Running "sunpci", I get the sunpci window to display for a few seconds and > then I get the following error: > > "X Window System Error: 86 Sequence=12, Value=0x4c0005f" > > Thank you for any info or tips on the matter. > > ltiu > _______________________________________________ > sunmanagers mailing list > sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org > http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagers _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Wed Feb 6 06:32:11 2002
