Hi, There are no direct solution for such problem. So I backup the files to one UFS filesystem with largefile support.(one 200G Tar file, cool!) Then convert the UFS to VxFS with largefiles support and move the files back. That's it! By default solaris 7 supports largefiles on all the UFS filesystems, so we have bunch of 15G files. Right now, I have to convert the UFS to vxfs. My question is: After I convert UFS to vxfs, by default the new vxfs has no "largefiles" support. From the answer book, I should be able to add the largefiles support on the raw device as: #fsadm -F vxfs -o largefiles <raw_device> However I get the error messages like: UX:vxfs fsadm: ERROR: file system dusty, mount and umount first Even after I run the "fsck -F vxfs". Do I miss anything? If no "largefiles" support, may I mount the vxfs filesystem with several 15G files on it? Thanks so much & have a good weekend, carl _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Mon Feb 18 09:43:19 2002
