SUMMARY: Routing question

Thanks for the quick responses:
Dirk Boeing, Steven Haywood, Robert Reynolds, Darren Dunham,
Fabrice Gaerini, Charles Homan, Giles Gamon, Karyn Williams

There were two main suggestions:
1) add ".0" to network (route add net yyy.164.163.0
xxx.164.229.38.7 1)
and
2) ensure /etc/netmasks is setup properly

Verifying/using both of the above, the problem still remains.

However, in doing the above, we were able to identify a VPN
config problem.  In correcting the VPN config problem, the VPN
will now "handle" the above routing issue.  This is a
work-a-round which will allow me to figure out the issue with
the static routes in my "spare" time.  Off to the next crisis.
