Hey everyone: Thanks for all the info. Got lots of recommendations, and here's what I got to work good: VNC by AT&T: http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/ That program worked great on my Solaris8 machines. I can turn it on and off when I need it (great for security, would still like to lock it down with IP security if possible), I can use the clients on my linux, windows, and Unix machines, and I can have the remote gui with relatively little hassle. I even found the spot to change the Window manager so I can use CDE rather than TWM. Other suggestions were: X-Forwarding over SSH eXceed: http://www.hummingbird.com/products/nc/exceed/ Use X-Windows w/Remote login Cygwin's port of X to MSWindows: http://sources.redhat.com/cygwin/ WRQ's Reflection X: http://www.wrq.com/products/evaluate/download/uochoice.html Thanks everyone for your help..., and have a g'day :) ------------------------------------- Giovanni Navarrette USLink Internet Systems Administrator e-Mail: gio@uslink.net _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Mon Jun 3 14:53:50 2002
