Thanks to Neil hunt,John Martinez for the help , ssh -l user name hostname -p port no worked for me although i have some other problem in n/w. The command for ssh is as follows: ssh -l username hostname or ssh username@hostname If the server is running sshd, then all you would need to do from the client is 'ssh <servername>' and it should work. -john At 02:15 PM 7/23/2002 +0800, Neil Hunt wrote: >Ahh.. >ssh -l username hostname -p 23076 >On Tue, Jul 23, 2002 at 11:25:58AM +0530, RaghuNath L(Raghu) wrote: > > I need to login to remote port 23076 . > > > > At 02:00 PM 7/23/2002 +0800, Neil Hunt wrote: > > >The command for ssh is as follows: > > >ssh -l username hostname > > >or ssh username@hostname > > > > > >On Tue, Jul 23, 2002 at 11:09:50AM +0530, RaghuNath L(Raghu) wrote: > > >> Hello Managers, > > >> > > >> I need to connect to a remote server which allows only ssh , > > >> i have ssh installed in the allowed server . > > >> > > >> i tried ssh -L 22:allowd host:23076 remote host . > > >> It doesn't seem to work . > > >> > > >> Any body used it before pls help. > > >> > > >> Regards > > >> Raghu > > >> _______________________________________________ > > >> sunmanagers mailing list > > >> sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org > > >> http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagers _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Wed Jul 24 12:29:59 2002
