Thanks to Andrew J Caines and LAW Hon Man. Andrew forwarded me a script that he recieved from LAW Hon Man. Which I have used successfully on a number of Solaris 8 machines. The script is: #!/usr/bin/ksh PATH=/usr/bin:/usr/sbin rem_drv random add_drv random modload /kernel/drv/random dd if=/dev/mem bs=512 count=16 2>&- | crypt $RANDOM > /dev/random Original question below: On Wed, May 15, 2002 at 05:56:49PM +0100, Darren J.
