Hello, I apologize for this later summary - I got two responces which I'll include below. It looks like there aren't any packages for Glut to go along with the OpenGL ones shipping with Solaris 9. Basically I downloaded the glut files and stuck them in an NFS mounted directory where the OpenGL folks can point their MakeFiles - this was Ramiro Santos' suggestion, and all works great. Thank you to those who responded (below). Ivan Fetch. <<<original question>>> Hello, I have some users here needing OpenGL, so I installed the OpenGL 1.2.1 packages from the Software Companion CD shipping with Solaris 9. It appears that Glut (the GUI for OpenGL as well as other headers and libraries) is missing. Does anyone work with this more regularly than I who can tell me whether there are Glut packages available which work particularly nicely with the Sol9 shipped OpenGL, or shal I just download and install glut from the OpenGL site? I will of course summarize. Thanks, Ivan Fetch. ---------- From: cain@unm.edu I did a search on the web yesterday and found a website that had links to the files; glut.h, gl.h, glu.h and some others. I hope this helps. http://www.ece.rutgers.edu/~kdana/ece474/handouts/opengl.html Christopher L.
