Hi All, I found solution for this while going through man pages of restore from linux box. we will have to follow the same procedure of backing up while restoring too. we should issue command from linux box. from linux box linuxbox# cd /restore linuxbox# restore ifs sunbox:/dev/rmt/0n 2 for interactive restoration.
