The problem was that I have /var/ filesystem corrupted. I have fixed it and now pkgadd works correctly. Thanks to John Riddoch, David Markowitz and Christian Masopust for their help. The problem was > > I have installed Solaris 9 in an Enterprise 450. I have installed the > core option, and then I added some Solaris packages. > > Now I want to install some Solaris Freeware packages (gcc, perl and > others), but I can't install any of them. I run "pkgadd -d > gcc-3.2-sol9-sparc-local" as root and I get a lot of error messages like > these: > > cpio: Cannot open/create reloc/man/man7/gpl.7, errno 22, Invalid > argument > cpio: Cannot create directory "reloc/share", errno 22, Invalid argument > cpio: Unable to reset modification time for "share", errno 2, No such > file or directory > cpio: Cannot chmod() "reloc/share", errno 2, No such file or directory > cpio: Cannot chown() "reloc/share", errno 2, No such file or directory > cpio: Cannot open/create reloc/share/java, errno 22, Invalid argument > cpio: Cannot open/create reloc/share/java/libgcj-3.2.jar, errno 22, > Invalid argument > 550800 blocks > 1498 error(s) > pkgadd: ERROR: attempt to process datastream failed > - process </usr/bin/cpio -icdumD -C 512> failed, exit code 90 > pkgadd: ERROR: unable to unpack datastream > > and the package is not installed.
