The server's clock does not match the client's clock. I need to set up NTP. For now, I just used rdate. The timestamp problem went away. We'll see if the application is any better.... Thanks guys Seth -----Original Message----- From: Seth Rothenberg [mailto:srothenb@montefiore.org] Sent: Monday, December 09, 2002 3:16 PM To: sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org Subject: timestamp I have an Ultra 60 running Solaris 8, and NFS mounting a Filesystem from a 4500 running 2.6. A number of files created in this filesystem have a strange appearance when I run ls -l - or even if I do a find with -ls, the timestamp is "Dec 9 2002" I was under the impression that ls will display the year if the file is older than six months, and will display the time if newer. The reason I am asking is we are having a problem with an application and I wonder if this is a sign of serious system problem, which may resolve my applications issue.
