The consensus is that Solaris 10 should be able to provide this sort of functionallity. Unfortunately, due to our current resource load I am unable to upgrade to Solaris 10 at this time. Many thanks to all those who provided feedback. Original Question: I have a Solaris 8 system on an Ultra 5 with an hme interface with 2 IP addresses bound to it. I am looking for a way to have a chrooted environment to be restricted on this system so that it can only see and use 1 of the addresses. The reason for this setup is that I am looking to combine 2 systems but would like to keep their environments relatively separate. It doesn't look like the Solaris distributed chroot can do this, are there other chroot/jail tools that run on Solaris that can help me accomplish this?
