Hello, Apologies for the late response. It appears that the latest 8_Recommended was not the problem but it only exacerbated the problem. It seems that the high IOWait was due to one of the T3's battery being faulty (which came up in parallel with the 8_Recommended patching). There was a previous post on this in the list regarding the battery issue: http://www.sunmanagers.org/pipermail/summaries/2004-March/004850.html Much thanks to Paul Roetman for helping me regarding this. Regards, Neil Quiogue ----8<---- After installing the latest recommended patches for Solaris 8 (117350-04). Our T3 access became so slow and we're getting high IOWaits. The filesystem setup is for forcedirectio. But before this (108528-27), the system was fine. I remember seeing an email in this list about some IO slowness but I'm not sure if this is related to it since it mentioned that the patch 117000-03 should have fixed it and the latest 8_Recommended has 117000-05 already. Any help would be great. Thanks.
