SUMMARY:restart inetd daemon

Thanks for all the responses. I got a lot of
responses.

The answer is YES, it's safe to restart the inetd
daemon and the commands can be one of the following

kill -HUP <inetd_pid>

or

pkill -HUP inetd

One just thing to note, I noticed from some responses
that they asked me what did I mean on "RESTART". If I
just want /etc/inetd.conf reread after my changes,
restart of inetd daemon is not the correct term.
Restart means stop then start. What I really need is
to get my new /etc/inetd.conf file reread.

Thanks again.
