i had an issue with an mirror i setup ,,,it wouldnt mount via the path that was set in /etc/vfstab but would mount manually. so thanx to dave@corelabs.net his suggestion was to do the following: If you can mount in manually, the filesystem is certainly ok...just looks like the volume info got messed somewhere...you could recreate it by :- metaclear -r d6 (this will get rid of d6, d30 and d40 - data on the disk won't be touched) then... metainit d30 1 1 c1t0d0s5 (re-create first sub-mirror) metainit d6 -m d30 (create the mirror device) then you should be able to mount /metro finally...the mirror... metainit d40 1 1 c1t1d0s5 (create the second sub-mirror) metattach d6 d40 (this will start the volumes syncing..) Dave. thanx to all who replied -- Brent Bailey _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Wed Sep 29 13:24:11 2004
