Hi managers, I have a read-only NFS mount on my Solaris 9 box. The problem was that some applications (acroread, mc, ...) reported "ERROR: Cannot determine current directory". Using root privileges I had no problem (neither on other Linux NFS clients). The solution is to change the permissions of the mount point to 755 (this was 700, and invisible after mounting the share). Thanks for your help!
