Hi Gurus, Thanks to all who replied especially to: 1) Darren Dunham 2) Fabio 3) Sven Pfeifer and 4) Alan Pae Well the bottom line is you need to compile source or get the binaries for INTEL platform as SPARC binaries won't work on INTEL. Thanks a lot guys My original question was: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have installed Solaris 8 on Intel box and installed Apache Web server 1.3.26 on it. When I start Apache with apachectl command it gives me following error: /opt/apache/bin/httpd: syntax error at line 1: `(' unexpected It works fine on SPARC box. Does SPARC binaries doesn't work on Intel? Any help is greatly appreciated.
