Well thanks to all those that replied - to many to mention! In a nutshell I did this whilst the server was up: ndd -set /dev/ce instance 0 ndd -set /dev/ce adv_1000fdx_cap 0 ndd -set /dev/ce adv_1000hdx_cap 0 ndd -set /dev/ce adv_100fdx_cap 1 ndd -set /dev/ce adv_100hdx_cap 0 ndd -set /dev/ce adv_10fdx_cap 0 ndd -set /dev/ce adv_10hdx_cap 0 ndd -set /dev/ce adv_autoneg_cap 0 Which forced 100MB/FDX on ce0 I also use this --> http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/scripts/submittedScripts/nicstatus.txt from Sun's Bigadmin site to give NIC details. I have also added "adv_autoneg_cap=0 adv_1000fdx_cap=0 adv_1000hdx_cap=0 adv_100fdx_cap=1 adv_100hdx_cap=0 adv_10fdx_cap=0 adv_10hdx_cap=0;" to "/platform/sun4u/kernel/drv/ce.conf". So it should force ALL "ce" interfaces to 100MB/FDX upon reboot - BUT I HAVE NOT TESTED THIS. Some of the links provided to me are as follows and well worth a read: http://sunsolve.sun.com/search/document.do?assetkey=1-9-41665-1 http://sunsolve.sun.com/search/document.do?assetkey=1-9-72033 http://sunsolve.sun.com/search/document.do?assetkey=1-9-72355 Thanks - Julian.
