Hi Gurus, Thanks to all of you u who had replied..... Here's the summary.. It seemed to be due to the firmware of the new HBA(firmaware:- 1.80a) not matching with the old 3 HBA's( firmware :- 1.90a). Hence, removed the new HBA from v1280 and installed it back on the v440 server and upgraded the firmware to 1.90a. Then installed it back on to the v1280 server and VIOLA ... the server detected the new HBA. Also the OS detected the new HBA in "lputil"... Once again Thanks...
