Summary: cron jobs no longer work

They suggested to do

/etc/rc2.d/S75cron stop
/etc/rc2.d/S75cron start

and then do

	tail -f /var/cron/log

to check what it is doing. My first impression was (no luck) but after  
repeating the stop/start cycle and looking closer I realized that the  
thing is ticking again.
