Summary: Purpose of DNS outside firewall ???

Id like to thank all of those who replied.

Those responses helped me understand clearly now.

 

The  DNS outside the firewall is used for Security and limiting information and for the outside world who would need to have access to your dns servers to resolve these services (web servers, mail servers, ftp, .) to addresses.
