Thanks to all the replied. In Solaris 8 i used metatool to configure the disk sets. In Solaris 10 i was using smc to configure the disk sets. metatool automatically applies the -f (force) SMC does not apply the -f (force) so i used metainit on the command line with the -f flag. Problem solved. sunmanagers-bounces@sunmanagers.org wrote on 06/08/2005 11:09:05 AM: > Managers, > > My Solaris 8 mirroring procedure for root was using disksuite was > > Add root to a concat -> create another concat for the mirror -> mirror > both concat's. > > I'm trying the same thing on solaris 10 but i'm getting > /usr/sbin/metainit d0 1 1 /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s0 > metainit: whosyourdady: c1t0d0s0: is mounted on / > > How do i mirror root swap and /var on s10? > > KFR > _______________________________________________ > sunmanagers mailing list > sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org > http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagers _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Thu Jun 9 14:29:47 2005
