Greetings, In the end, I'm just going to reinstall the latest version of Samba and not use the one that is included. Hopefully a fresh install of Samba will clear up any problems. I received some helpful responses to my problem (reprinted at the end) and they include the following: Paul Ketelaar wrote: >Chris, > I do a lot of work with samba on both Linux and Solaris. > >My first recommendation would be to blow away Sol 9 and install Sol >10. >You then get Samba 3 and all the latest tools. Setting up samba as a PDC is relatively >un-evenful if you follow the >right path. Go to samba.org and download the Samba how to guide. I would actually like to do this and use a newer version of Samba, but my application isn't yet supported on Solaris 10. Dagobert Michelsen wrote: >Ok then, try adding the location of mkntpasswd.sh to $PATH or >use an absolute path like /opt/sambe/bin/... > >Best regards > > -- Dago Wasn't able to locate it, even using 'find'. Something funny with this. This isn't my build of Solaris, so things aren't quite what I'm used to. Judy Young wrote: >Hello, > >I am running solaris 9 and samba. This was quite helpful, once I get Samba reconfigured I'm going to reference this (modified for my network, though).
