[original message at end] Cool. Several people made it available and posted links. Part of the trick is knowing the version numbers so that you can do a search (maybe some day we'll have regular expressions for web searches). SOLd621.PKG is a slightly older version. SOLe118.PKG is what I was looking for. Turns out SOLe134.PKG is actually available still on the HP web site at: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?locale=en_US&pnameOID=18924&taskId=135&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=27351&submit.y=9&submit.x=6&lang=en&cc=us&swEnvOID=1088 I downloaded it from there and then did `pkgadd -d SOLe134.PKG`, which gave me everything I was looking for including installing and setting up bootp in inetd.conf. What some people missed was that there is a lot more to /opt/hpnpl (HP JetDirect) than just setting up a print queue. It allows me to easily configure bootp services for the printers and provide them with their configurations through tftp, manage large numbers of printers, migrate printers from one server to another, etc. -- all without having to do the individual lpadmin commands for every single one of them. http://www.artwork.com/support/unix/jetadmin_solaris.htm provides some information although with the older version (which some people had working on Solaris 8). I can't locate them on Sun's web site either. The archives indicate (although postings are a bit old) that Jetadmin for the slightly older Solaris can be installed on Solaris 9 and the utilities in /opt/hpnp can be used and work. In particular, they make it easy to do things like migrating printers and setting up a printer with a print queue as well as bootp and tftp. This is what I need to do. I have some really old sun servers (2.6) that have lots of print queues, and I'm configuring some less old hardware with Solaris 9 that should be lots better. It's going to be a real pain to migrate if I don't have tools to do it. I also saw one posting that indicated that the hpnp stuff was rolled into Solaris 9, but I can't find it and I can't find any other references to that piece of information. I've googled lots of links to Sole118.PKG at hp, but that link no longer exists. If someone could guide me to a download or tell me that they are on the Solaris 9 install CDs (9/04) and where, that would be really helpfull. Or, if someone could put it up for ftp, that would be really really helpfull.
