Thank you to: Ian Pease Tim Chipman James Scott Bill R. Williams Eugene Schmidt Dave Mitchell Changing my dump parameter to "1cn" solved the problem. I did a test dump and it worked for the DAT 72. Appreciate all of your quick responses. Thank you again. I am using DDS-4 20/40GB tapes. Here's my dump parameters: /usr/sbin/ufsdump 0uf /dev/rmt/1hn /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s0 It keeps hitting the end of tape after about 20GB. Prior to attaching the DAT 72 drive, I was using a Sun DDS-4 drive with the exact same dump parameters and was dumping over 32GB on the same tape. Other than a boot -r, I did not change any dip switches or st.conf parameters. What could be the problem? _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Tue Aug 16 13:28:01 2005
