Only got a few replies that didn't point me in any way I wanted to go. This is the solution I found: Create the archive excluding what every you normally exclude, but also exclude your zones directory. After the archive is created, tarball the zone directory. The archive, along with the tarball, will have all you need to build a replica of the system. Also if you build with these files on a different platform, after jumpstarting with the archive and un-tarring the zones, you may need to reconfigure the zone's physical ethernet name (eri0, bge0, etc). I have done this cross-platform (upgrading a physical server) with success. On Thu, February 16, 2006 12:55 pm, Paul said: > Anyone know the trick to do a flarcreate on a global zone? When I try to jumpstart an archive file made with flarcreate on a Solaris 10 box with zones (doing it on the global zone), I always get this error after the jumpstart is finished and it tries to boot up: > > -------- > > WARNING: exec(/sbin/init) failed (file not found). > > (Could not start init) Program terminated > > -------- _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Tue Feb 21 23:44:29 2006
