The NTP server is in GMT+5 format. Now Customer had requested to change the formt to IST, Hence i did the following:- Edited /etc/TIMEZONE and made TZ=Asia/Calcutta ( for Permanent change) As, i couldn't reboot the server at that time, I did TZ=Asia/Calcutta export TZ after which the date showed me the time in IST format, but after some time( around 4-5 hrs) it again changed to GMT. Do i have to reboot the server or is this something to do with NTP Configuration. I have no clue as to how this happened, Does anyone have?? Please Let me know as it is very Critical Regards SS The information contained in this electronic message and any attachments to this message are intended for the exclusive use of the addressee(s) and may contain proprietary, confidential or privileged information.
