Thanks to Jeff Horwitz, Matthew Stier, Darren Dunham, and KR (rossman@columbia.edu) Turns out that SDS/SVM optimizes new RAID 0+1 volumes into RAID 1+0 just as long as the number of columns in each of the mirrored strips is the same and the sized of the physical disk slices in each column is the same, even though there is no difference in it's outward appearance. Also, Matthew Stier provided this link, which verifies that this is indeed the case: http://chrismiles.info/unix/sun/dsraid10.txt -- Michael Hale mhale@transcomus.com _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Tue Jan 30 14:29:21 2007
