Hi, Finally, I found it myself. You have to go on the jumpstart server, then: cd /${JUMPSTART_BINARIES}/Solaris_10/Tools/Boot/sbin Open the file "install-discovery". Search for: "net_device_list=" I modified this so it stops checking all interfaces but one. If you have multiple servers, you can add little more code that will recognize the right interfaces to setup. It'll speed up the installation and/or recovery process. I only tested on Solaris 10, but I won't be surprised if it works on earlier versions, must be the same idea. Hope it helps. > From: benetage@hotmail.com > To: sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org > Subject: How to disable interfaces in Jumpstart > Date: Wed, 19 Dec 2007 11:02:32 -0500 > > Hi, > > > When we jumpstart a server, it always check the link status of all > interfaces, > like this: > > [...] > Attempting to configure interface bge3... > Skipped interface bge3 > Attempting to configure interface bge2... > Skipped interface bge2 > Attempting to configure interface bge1... > Skipped interface bge1 > Attempting to configure interface bge0... > Configured interface bge0 > [...] > > The only interface that is connected and that should be configured is bge0 as > mentionned in sysidcfg file. > > I'm wondering if there's a way to tell Jumpstart not to check all network > interfaces but bge0 to speed up the installation.
