Thank you to all that responded. There were too many to respond individually. Most people suggested I reconfigure then plumb the interface. I had done that previously, but noticed the mac address was the same for both interfaces. I thought I had done something wrong. hme0:flags=1000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index 2 inet 192.168.1.30 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255 ether 8:0:20:72:a3:5d hme1:flags=1000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index 3 inet 192.168.1.163 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255 ether 8:0:20:72:a3:5d le0:flags=1000842<BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index 4 inet 0.0.0.0 netmask 0 ether 8:0:20:72:a3:5d One person responded suggesting I change the local-address? obp setting to true and reboot. I did this, but the mac's are still the same. From what I read, I think that means the NIC's don't have a hardware address, and the machine will default to the system mac address. I also read that I can use the ifconfig command to set the ether address if cards are on the same subnet. Thanks again, this is a great list!
