I had a license daemon that was trying to write to a nonfunctioning NFS automount. It still seems peculiar to me that it would show up when I tried to ssh to a remote system. Anyway, once I restarted nfs on the xyxyz server(in this case, NFS server), everything cleared up. Thanks to David Foster who was the only sunmanager to respond and provided helpful hints. Original Post: I'm running Solaris 8 on a Sunfire V880 server. I get this message when using OpenSSH to remotely log in to another machine......any machine. NFS fsstat failed for server xyxyz: error 27 (RPC: Received disconnect from remote) xyxyz is my NIS server....only set up for passwords and groups. The remote login does actually work. I'd just like to understand what the error is and how to fix it. ============================================= Larry Wood, CAD/CAE Systems Administrator Allegro MicroSystems, Inc. 115 Northeast Cutoff Worcester, MA 01606 Tel: 508-854-5425 Fax: 508-853-2431 E-mail: lwood@allegromicro.com _______________________________________________ sunmanagers mailing list sunmanagers@sunmanagers.org http://www.sunmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/sunmanagersReceived on Fri Apr 10 07:27:47 2009
