Thank you to everyone who responded. After doing more digging, I found that there were no links in /dev/cfg or /dev/fc pointing to the new card. I ended up running devfsadm, and that created the links, and I could see the card and disks in cfgadm and format. Hello, I have a Sunfire v240 running Solaris 10 that has two connections to an EMC Clariion for redundancy. I had two of the same HBA's installed, but one went bad and I had to replace it with a different card. I think one is Sun and one is Qlogic. The newly installed card could see the disks, but Solaris only sees one HBA with cfgadm. Can a Sun and a Qlogic card both work in the same machine? If so, how do you get them to work? Below is some output for luxadm and cfgadm commands. [root@help3 /]# luxadm -e port /devices/pci@1e,600000/QLGC,qlc@3/fp@0,0:devctl CONNECTED /devices/pci@1d,700000/SUNW,qlc@1/fp@0,0:devctl CONNECTED (this is the card that I replaced) This is how I determined that the card cou see the disks.
