It seems that my local machine (running Ubuntu Hardy Heron) does not like the java from X4500 (error is generated by the java which is downloaded from the BIOS; it is possible that the java code doesn't like Ubuntu (i.e., it's a problem on the webbrowser's side) Curiousely, on a newer Sun (X6250) it works... I know that the following is not the solution of my problem, but I opened the cd redirection from another machine running solaris and this works.
