Hello, Thanx very much for fast responses especially thanks to Peter van Gemert who give me the direction :) Hi Tomasz, You do not need the logical interface. You can create multiple vlans on the same interface. You would end-up with: e1000g<vlan>0 like e1000g200 and e1000g300. I'm not sure about the number of digits to be used for the vlan id and the interface numbers. It worked for me like charm :) bash-3.00# ifconfig e1000g2000 plumb 192.168.0.1/24 up bash-3.00# ifconfig -a lo0: flags=2001000849<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4,VIRTUAL> mtu 8232 index 1 inet 127.0.0.1 netmask ff000000 e1000g0: flags=1000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4> mtu 1500 index 2 inet 10.141.132.228 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 10.141.132.255 ether 0:30:5:5b:7a:1a e1000g2000: flags=201000843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4,CoS> mtu 1500 index 4 inet 192.168.0.1 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 192.168.0.255 ether 0:30:5:5b:7a:1a bash-3.00# ping 192.168.0.1 192.168.0.1 is alive Tommorow I will try to connect to switch and make a "router on a stick" - limited budged for a HW :). I would like to create logical interface that will be in a different vlan then the real interface. I mean: e1000g0 is 192.168.0.0/24 vlan 2 e1000g0:1 is 10.10.10.0/24 vlan 3 Is this possible? Any guides, any experience in this area?
