Probably it is not supported by Sun, but you can still boot from A5200 as long as you can see drive from Ok prompt I will try to boot from A5200 during maintenance window. Here is what I did # /usr/lib/vxvm/bin/vxdisksetup -i c2t106d0 # vxdg -g rootdg adddisk disk01=c2t106d0 ( make sure this is added as a sliced) # /etc/vx/bin/vxrootmir disk01 At this time, I have followinh config. # vxdisk list c0t0d0s2 sliced rootdisk rootdg online c0t1d0s2 sliced root_mirror rootdg online c2t106d0s2 sliced disk01 rootdg online *# vxassist -g rootdg mirror swapvol disk01 * Verify using the vxprint command. Verify that you have proper OpenBoot PROM Parameters set *# eeprom nvramrc *nvramrc=devalias vx-rootdisk /pci@1f,4000/scsi@3/disk@0,0:a devalias vx-disk01 /pci@1f,4000/SUNW,ifp@4/disk@w21000004cf68507e,0:a devalias vx-root_mirror /pci@1f,4000/scsi@3/disk@1,0:a OK, boot rootdisk OK, boot root_mirror OK, boot disk01 I will try it on maintenance window and let you know.
